Cross Country - Boys' and Girls'

The upcoming Cross Country season is generating a lot of excitement as the teams are starting to prepare for a competitive year. The boys’ roster has a nice blend of returning seniors, Sam Hyde ‘25, James O’Connell ‘25, and Mathew O'Connell ‘25 and some newcomers ready to learn. The girls’ also have an impressive senior class, including Hayden Schneider ‘25, SG Stevenson ‘25, Allyssa Jimenez ‘25, and Elise Park ‘25. Both teams have had an extensive preseason conditioning focused on stamina and speed. Coach Macdonald and Coach Dale have been focusing on a strategic approach to race pacing and teamwork. Most importantly, the coaches agree the goal of the year is not individual performance but building a team bond, fostering a fun environment, and making sure everyone has a positive experience. Be sure to tune in each weekend for some exciting cross country meets!

Field Hockey

As the field hockey season begins, the team is filled with excitement and eagerness for the near future. This squad is led by veteran seniors Hadley Crowther ‘25, Liza Merill ‘25, Lucy Wainwright ‘25, and Allyson Whitehead ‘25. The team is also grateful to have a new head leader, Coach MacKenzie. On Wednesday 9/11 the team fell short to Loomis in a scrimmage but showed a lot of promise. The team learned from their mistakes, and defeated Ethel Walker 3-0 in their first official contest. Coach MacKenzie recognizes the talent on this team and is focused on winning games, but also on building connection as a team and success that isn’t just necessarily about wins and losses. With a balance between returning talent and new players on the team, field hockey is expected to have a successful season, with an end goal of playing their best at New Englands. Make sure to follow them this season!

Boys' Soccer

As the soccer season kicks off, the boys’ team is charged with enthusiasm and determination, ready to play a demanding schedule. The preseason was marked with demanding training, including long high intensity sessions and building team chemistry.  With highly skilled returning players and new talent, the team is sure to go on a significant run this year. Coach Keough has put these boys’ in good physical shape but also prepared them with the skill required to beat the best teams. Coach Keough will continue to use his signature style of play which includes controlling the ball, and being feisty in small battles. This group will be led by seniors Henry Warner ‘25, Abraham Monsee ‘25, Dylan Wendle ‘25, goalkeeper Alex Wood ‘25 and an experienced group of managing seniors. They have plenty of home games this season so make sure to support them, especially on Wednesday on 9/18 where they will take on Taft!

Girls' Soccer

As the season unfolds, girls’ soccer is fired up from a fantastic season that finishes with a New England Championship. The preseason has been characterized with high intense practices, enhancing team chemistry and getting players comfortable back on home soil. With a roster that combines experienced seniors, Avery Boulanger ‘25, Emma Isakoff ‘25, Matilda Lynch ‘25, Hellen Marshall ‘25, Remi Morello ‘25, Lauren Nueman ‘25, and Emelia Pacheco-Hager ‘25 to show the ropes to the new talent and other returning players, these girls are well positioned for another stand-out season. Coach Wosleger is looking forward to a fresh start and rebuilding the team while maintaining the same champion mindset. She recognizes the new team and is focused on this year's strengths and weaknesses, and will adapt to the new players, requiring different formation training. Preseason workouts and intrasquads have shown a lot of promise and highlighted the team's cohesiveness and positive atmosphere. Overall, this team is gearing up for an exciting and competitive season. Be sure to come check this team out at Harrison field this fall!

Water Polo

As the boys’ water polo season emerges, the team is energized and ready to take on a competitive schedule. Coach Kendall has emphasized a balanced approach, blending conditioning and strategic drills to improve the offense and defense. This team was built in 2018 but doesn’t feel like it, as this program is set to hit its stride. This team features talented seniors including Zelin Hu ‘25, Trent Jones ‘25, Reginald Kanu ‘25, and Filip Tomic ‘25 and a determined crew of underclassmen. Be sure to tune into this year's home opener at 3:00 on Wednesday, 9/18. The preseason practices have provided valuable insight into the team's development, highlighting the roster's depth. Coach Kendall has also concentrated efforts on building team culture and keeping things lighthearted, while tiring them out at practice. Looking ahead, they have a challenging schedule, but when these boys’ come together they are hard to beat!
